György Gyivicsan

  György Gyivicsan was born in Orosháza in Hungary and started his musical education by playing the euphonium. He started to study playing the trombone when he was 12, János Krcsméri was his tutor. In 1992 he was admitted to the conservatory to Professor István Simon who was his teacher at the college as well.
 In 1999 he won the first prize at a country competition and two years later he got his degree and started his studies at the college at the Staatliche für Music Freiburg am Breisgau /a state college/ Branimir Slokar was his tutor.
 From 2002 to 2004 he worked at the Radio Symphony Orchestra in Berlin. He got his degree in Freiburg in 2003, and continued his studies tutored by professor Branimir Slokar in Bern in soloist education.
 The year 2003 was a success for him, because he won the first prize at an international competition in Porcia.
  In 2005 György Gyivicsan was invited to the Music Academy in Szeged in Hungary as a professor.
